Letting Go

Reading that title, you likely think this will be a beautiful and profound post about accepting your life and all the hardship it encompasses, but nothing could be further from the truth.

See these lilies?

They are working damn hard to turn that sunlight into something beautiful, and the moment they let go is the moment they die. I don't wanna die. Do you? I want to live forever and ever. With cake. And beautiful music. And oodles of money. I'd have a closet full of purses, kick-ass boots, wall to wall shelves for a personal book collection that could rival the library of congress, and medical care would not be an issue, because I'd never get sick.

On a personal note, my kids would be set for life. No more worrying about if they get good grades or are capable of supporting themselves. They would inherit gobs of money, just like Donald Trump. Who knows, maybe one of them will be the next President of the United States.

Let go of my unrealistic expectations?

Never!

Letting go is for chumps.

  2. Sounds like it's time to be a vampire! ;)
    Wait, do they have cake?
    Demigod!
I'm not sure what creature one would need to be for all of this, but it sounds like a nice dream. Keep on hanging on.
The white lilies look amazing in this picture for whatever reason.

    1. Thank your for stopping by and for the compliment about the lilies. If living forever meant being a vampire, I think I'll pass. Twilight cured me of any fascination with vampires I may have had. What we need is a potion that imbues the drinker with eternal youth and eternal wealth. Wouldn't that be nice?

  3. "A library to rival the Library of Congress"--I want one of those too. Of course that means we're going to need a much bigger place to live.

    1. Perhaps the library can be next to the house. It will be maintained by librarians and accessible through an underground tunnel. That way you won't get wet when it starts raining

    1. I don't know that eternal life would be so great. I just find death scary. A lot of people do, I think. Thus why religion is so popular ;-).

  6. Eternal sunshine of the wishful soul...and why not...its a positive idea! Living forever with perfect setting, who would not want to have... Even I would not let it go...

  7. Andy,

There's nothing wrong with dreaming big and hoping LIFE gives you the desires of your heart. I think the moment we LEARN to LET GO then dreams can be one's reality. Thanks for visiting Art Sketching Through the Alphabet "L"> yesterday. Happy a2zing and I'll see you across the finish line soon!
